ASHLEE Mothercare, the brand behind ASHLEE MIRAPRO breast pump has a significant presence in the online marketplace, particularly on platforms like Shopee and Lazada. With thousands of store followers and positive ratings, the brand has certainly built a track record in the wearable breast pump market.
One of the first things about the ASHLEE MIRAPRO breast pump that caught my attention was the attractive price point. Typically ranging from MYR200 to MYR300, this pump offers a highly affordable option for mothers who want to experience the convenience of a wearable breast pump without breaking the bank. Additionally, the product is readily available on various online marketplaces, making it easily accessible for purchase.
Having tested this product firsthand, here are my thoughts on the product.
User Experience
Design and Portability
The ASHLEE MIRAPRO wearable breast pump has a sleek and streamlined design, allowing for a discreet and comfortable fit inside your bra. I was able to move around freely and multitask without feeling restricted.
Assembly and Cleaning
Assembling the ASHLEE MIRAPRO pump is easy. Cleaning is also a straightforward process.
Similar to most pumps in the market, the pump comes with one silicone flange insert – the size can be selected when placing your order. Additional inserts are available for purchase separately on the brand’s online store, ranging from 15mm to 24mm. I think it would be more helpful to mothers if that the pump comes with at least 2 size options out of the box, so they can find the ideal fit more easily out of 2 options.
Convenience
The breast milk is collected directly into a milk collection cup, which you can then transfer to a storage bag or bottle, depending on your preference.
Performance
Suction Strength
In terms of suction strength, the ASHLEE MIRAPRO breast pump delivers an adequate level of suction to extract breast milk.
Leak-Proof and Noise
Not sure if it is pure bad luck or poor quality control, I encountered leak issues after a few uses. Despite attempts to resolve the issue by replacing spare parts as recommended by the brand’s customer service, the leakage persisted.
I find the noise level of the pump to be relatively high, so I will usually assess my needs and the surroundings before pumping with ASHLEE MIRAPRO. The pump’s lack of discreetness in certain environments, such as public spaces or quiet offices is a drawback in my opinion.
Modes and Memory Feature
The ASHLEE MIRAPRO breast pump offers a range of suction levels and two modes: massage and expression. With up to nine suction levels to choose from, you can customize the pumping experience to your comfort level. The pump’s memory feature is a handy addition, as it remembers your last selected mode and suction level, saving you time and effort during subsequent pumping sessions.
After Sales
While ASHLEE Mothercare has built a strong reputation in the online marketplace, I find their after sales service to be unhelpful, particularly when I had to deal with their product leak issues. I was also disappointed that they did not offer a replacement unit since their recommendations did not work.
Verdict
The ASHLEE MIRAPRO breast pump presents a budget-friendly option for mothers seeking the convenience of a wearable pump or planning to pump on the go on a short-term or infrequent basis. Its affordable price point, sleek design, and hands-free pumping experience make it a decent choice for those looking to test the waters of wearable breast pumps.
However, for mothers seeking for a quality pump and reliable brand, it may be worth exploring other options in the market.
